I joined after completing their 7-week Intro to Pickleball class, and it was absolutely spectacular. Coaches Ben, Mo, Rob, Joe, and Augie were knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly strategic in how they teach. If you’re a beginner, this program is a MUST. You’ll learn proper fundamentals from day one — not just how to hit the ball, but how to actually play the game the right way. Played in open play 1-3 on Monday. Super fun group. Great attitudes and helped with scoring and movements for newer player. Courts were in great shape. The structure of open play was great too. Would definitely come again.

Coach Mary Martin is the best coach I ever had. She knows the game better than anyone I know. Fun and fantastic.

Update 10/1/25 I play regularly now. The structured open play is perfect for my level. These courts echo with joyful conversation, laughter, and, of course the sweet bang of the paddle hitting the ball. It is a cacophony of what pickleball is all about. But Dill Dinkers - Simsbury - is several steps above other courts for one particular reason: One evening, I became ill, finding myself unable to leave the bathroom. One of the advanced players checked on me, ran over to the pharmacy and picked up some meds that allowed me to get home. Far above and beyond! The staff, and the players, work hard to maintain this level professionalism, and succeed. No, I did not receive any compensation for this review. I'm upgrading this review to 5 stars. I played open play by skill level this afternoon and had endless fun. Great people and well organized. Previous comments (Edited) This Simsbury pickleball facility is beautiful. The courts, reception area, and other specialty rooms are well designed. Because it is a long drive for me, I've only availed myself of two coached open play sessions, both of which were fun from a play standpoint.
